Typically, follow-up visits are scheduled at the time of check-out. At your follow-up appointment, your MaineOrtho specialist will re-examine you and assess your progress. If you have been wearing a cast as part of your treatment, your specialist may remove the cast and, if necessary, provide a new one. In some cases, you may also have new x-rays taken to help with the assessment.

Should you have questions between appointments or experience a problem related to your condition, we encouraged you to contact us. And please know that for emergencies, there is a MaineOrtho physician available 24 hours a day.
