What to Expect With Regard to X-rays and Other Imaging and Testing

Both MaineOrtho offices are equipped to take x-rays. Our in-house staff processes such films immediately (turnaround time is 5 to 10 minutes), so your surgeon can review and interpret them for you right then and there.

MRI, CT and other imaging is scheduled as quickly as possible at one of several high quality facilities in the region. A follow-up appointment will be scheduled for you to discuss the results with your MaineOrtho surgeon.  

Lab test are performed at an outside facility and the results are communicated to our doctors.
