What to Expect With Billing and Insurance

At MaineOrtho, we’re dedicated to making top-quality care as cost effective as possible.  In order to maintain efficiency and provide care to all patients in need, payment is expected at the time of service.

We participate with most major health plans and will bill them directly. Co-pay amounts, non-covered services and amounts applied to your deductible are due from you at the time of service.

The following are plans in which we participate.
Aetna - HMO, PPO and POS
Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield - all products
Cigna – HMO, PPO and POS
Medicare
MaineCare
Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare
Maine Partners Health Plan
Medical Network - (MedNet) (network of insurances)
Martin’s Point TriCare and Champus – Active Military Coverage

Alternative arrangements and payment for non-covered services
or services not covered by insurance, you may pay with cash, by check or major credit card.  If you are unable to make payment in full, we will assist you in making payment arrangements using CareCredit. CareCredit is a service offered by GE Capital Consumer Card Company.  It is a flexible, monthly payment plan that can be used immediately.  CareCredit can offer you a wider variety of payment arrangements.
