Dr. Parisien was born and raised in Auburn, ME. He was a member of the United States Ski Team from 1987 to 1992, and the United States Olympic Ski Team in 1992. In 2007 he traveled as team physician with the United States Ski Team to Slovenia. Dr. Parisien has 2 children and lives with his family in Cape Elizabeth.

Rob Parisien, M.D. was born in Canada in 1970. He was raised in Auburn, Maine and moved to Vermont to join a ski racing academy in 1983. He was named to the US Ski Team in the late 1980's and competed on the World Cup and Europa-Cup circuit for several years. He competed in the 1991 World Alpine Ski Championships where he was the top American, and in 1992 he raced for the US Olympic Team in the 1992 Winter Olympics, finishing 20th in the Men's Giant Slalom, again as the top American.

He then went to Dartmouth Medical School, graduating with honors in 1999. He did his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency. He was the chief orthopaedic resident at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2004. He then completed a sports medicine and arthroscopy fellowship at Harvard at the Brigham and Women's Hospital.

His current practice focus is on sports medicine and traumatology. He performs all aspects of knee, shoulder, and hip arthroscopy, along with the latest techniques in trauma and fracture surgery. He has special training in ACL reconstruction surgery, and has done research in allograft ACL reconstruction which earned the top clinical research award in the 2004 Harvard Orthopaedics graduating class. In 2007 he was selected to travel to Europe with the US Ski Team as a member of the medical staff.

He is a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He joined Maine Orthopaedic Center in January 2005. He lives with his wife and 2 children in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. His other interests include woodworking, running, and baroque lute performance, focusing on the early 18th century baroque lute repertoire.
